Anyone gonna fess up to being on camera?
Sorry I missed it; was inching my way back to VA from Rockville on the 270 spur during rush hour and just couldn't bring my self to put up w/ any more of that. Somebody suggested forming a Virginia chapter, which I would endorse. I probably could make it to Clarendon but not any further.
Theo -- well, you can see the back of my head at about 15 sec in, wearing a blue 1960s Nats cap with red piping. Not exactly a current curly W version but I'm two games into what should be at least a five game home win streak wearing it to the game. So that bodes well for tonight and next week against the Rays (twice). Plus wearing my blue Gio t-shirt.
I would appreciate a trip to Virginia, as well. The Dogfish Head Ale place at Seven Corners would certainly draw, but I would come into Arlington from Fairfax, as well.+1/2St.
I feel like Miss Rosemary..."I see Scooter, I see Unky, I see NatsNut..."
They all look like Do-Bees to me. :-)
I'd be coming from Fairfax County. A locale near Metro would probably be good, for folks who hail from DC or Maryland.
Seven Corners, Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria - all doable for me. So sorry I missed it! Anyone ever come down to the Pnats? I am hoping to catch Drew or Jayson on their way back up if they don't skip this level.
Swami, I'm at the P-Nats a few Sundays each year. (Minor-league ball is good for my 6-year-old.) I'm there every other week for an upcoming stretch: the 24th, the 8th, and the 22nd. We sit behind the home-plate screen.(In the video, I'm the dude facing away from the camera -- out of consideration for the viewers -- at about 17 seconds.)((Unky D was there?????))
I would come from Burtonsville, Md but a metro would be nice!
I propose Hard Times in Ballston (right across from the Metro stop) for a VA meetup, within 5 days of a game where the Nats have scored 6 runs. Those of us who attended that game can bring ticket stubs to provide wings for the masses. Their upstairs bar has lots of TVs that they are very willing to tune to the Nats game.
Good thinking, 222. I might prefer more lead time to schedule it, but life is an imperfect thing.
Dang, deleted the wrong one (stupid jet lag).I like sec 222's suggested locale, and agree with Scooter that lead time is helpful. Re. swami's question, we usually make it to a couple of P-Nats games per season, but haven't yet made it to one this year.
I'm in there at about 0:16 - facing right, light blue striped shirt, glasses. Cunegonde never doubted that I was going, but now I have actual proof, because it's on teh interwebs!
222, like your idea. Talking with you yesterday, I immediately saw you were a man of perspicacity and taste...So if the Nats score six runs tonight, are we all on for Hard Times on the 21st? Cunegonde and I are going, will have ticket stubs (actually printed online stubs - do they count...?).
I'm a beer snob, among other vices. DogFish House meets my excessively high standards.
I am in one of the shots, the guy in the bandana (a Marvin Martian bandana, although you can't tell from the video), wearing the "Team Food & Friends" bicycle jersey, talking to Kelli Johnson. It was great getting to meet the posters & lurkers, looking forward to the next get-together. I'll be at all three games this weekend :-)
I am the guy NatsNut is talking to in this video. You can only see my back, wearing white/blue striped shirt.
